In what ways did the English colonies develop differently from the Spanish and the French colonies?

The English develop differently than the Spanish and French, because of their view of the world. They thought of their race as superior and all other races where uneducated and thoughtless of all the land, gold, and glory they had. To them they thought the land they found where there, because they discovered it. They weren’t worried about the people who lived there who would get offended if they started to bring people along and make towns. I think of the English colonies as thieves and bullies who took what they thought were theirs.
Next, the Spanish were differing from the English and French because, all they were interested in was jewelry, gold and other goods. They did not practice slavery and genocide. They were just trying to clear land so they can make their homes and plantations. They were peaceful until they meet other civilization. Religion was not in their best interest. They were only interested in making a living in my words.
Last, the French were differing from the Spanish and English, because all they were interested in was trade. They had lot of ports and waterways to trade with other countries. They built several forts over rivers such as Fort La Baye, Fort St. Nicholas, Fort St. Antoine, Fort St. Pierre, Fort Beauharnois, Fort Le Sueur, Fort Linctot, Fort St. Croix, and Fort Le Sueur. They had mostly augmented over their religion, but it wasn’t a big problem during the times they were in. They were mostly traders and were more focus on clearing out land than religion. So, that the differences I see between the English, Spanish, and French.

  2. 3. "With the dawn of the 16th century, there came together in Europe both motivation and the means to explore and colonize territory across the seas." Discuss this statement with reference to TWO of the following:
    A. Religion
    B. Trade
    C. Technology

This statement is very true. There was in fact motivation. People colonized from Europe to America for several reasons .I would have to say the biggest reason was religion. In Europe they had a queen and king who would try to force the same religion on there people of course a lot of people disliked that idea so what better to do than move to a place where you could freely express your own views on religion. Also a lot of wars were occurring in Europe, the people were tired of it they wanted a peaceful place to live.Another reason colonists came was because they wanted more land to farm on.And some people were like the Spanish, they wanted to the riches they heard the new land held for them.
I would now like to discuss trade dealing with the English colonies .The Native Americans known as the Indians were very helpful to the new colonists. They were kind, they explained the land to them and even begin to trade with them .The Native Americans traded things as corn, fur ,and more foods. The Europeans traded things such as horses ,pigs, pigs and weapons.A big trade were diseases .Yes many Europeans brought diseases that ended up killing a lot of the Native Americans.Tragic but very much true.

  3. (Question) In what ways did the English Colonies develop differently from the Spsnish & French colonies?

In the English Colonies, they saw uncleared land as a waste. People who weren't white or "civilized" were said to be needing their own government & religion brand. The English thought poorly of the French for failing to teach the natives to read the wors of God. English colonies also saw the Spaniards as being brutal. (In reality they were).
With the French, they weren't interested in expanding territory. Their interest was much greater in waterways. The French admired pelts & fish that can be sent back & forth on waterways to France. Waterways were like a highway to them for trading. All hunting was done & fort building along rivers. Europeans were taking over their lands. The French didn't want the Indians to forsake their own beliefs for Christianity. Instead, their beliefs were simply augmented.
Spaniards were interested in small of clearing lands. They were interestes in little of gold, silver, & jewels. They weren't above slavery just to get what they wanted. Religion was not something to be passed on to the natives. Also, the Spaniards didn't go above genocide to get what they wanted.

  4. 2. Analyze the extent to which early European colonists viewed the Native Americans as inferior people who could be exploited for the colonists benefit.
The Europeans came to the New World to trade. They also came to take over. They brought killers and farmers to help them succeed. The European colonists saw that Native Americans lived oppiste of them. Native Americans were very easy to take over. They did not have horse so they had an advantage. The Europeans also had guns and armor which was another advantage. The Indians only had bow and arrows. Spears, wood, and human ability proved no match against cannon, and steel.
The Europeans overpowered them when they start bringing more and more of their people to the new world. The Native Americans showed the Europeans how to survive the cold winters with fur. Europeans got foods like corn, beans, and squash from the Native Americans. The Europeans also brought over diseases. This too wipe out a lot of Native Americans. They also treated them like slaves and beat them. They started the Columbian Exchange. Which was the exchange of animals, plants, culture, human populations (including slaves). Those are some of ways the Europeans took over and benefited from exploiting the Native Americans

  6. 1)In what ways did the English colonies develop differently from Spanish and French colonies?

These are 2 important colonies but they all developed in different ways. They governments took different approaches to their colonizing accomplishments. The colonies created disadvantages and advantages that cause major problems. The Spanish and French rule as absolute. But the English was like more freedom. These main three colonies developed different ways but these three stood out to me which was Religion,Government, and Economy.

Government,Religion, and Economy was all different in each colonies as I will give information about. To me the government and Economy caught my eye the most. In the French and Spanish colonies, their governments was a bit strike. They couldn't have public meeting without permission, and etc. Which was different with the English because they could tax themselves and set up local governments. With the Religion section, English colony was non-Catholics but tolerance, and French was controlled by French Catholic, and Spanish had to certain limits to Catholics.Last with the Economy, farming was all an activity in the three colonies but they still had differences.

  7. In what ways did the English colonies develop differently from the Spanish and the French colonies?

The English colonies develop differently from the Spanish and the French colonies because the colonies all had different views of the world . By them viewing the world differently this created advangtages and disadvangtages. The English had freedom which on the other hand Spanish and French was absoulte. The three main things all the colonies tied in was govenment, relations with the Native Americans, and enonomies.

The English govenment allowed them to set up local govenment, respresentatives assembles and tax themselves. Both the Spanish and French were ruled by kings. French had no politcial rights or respresentatives government and Spanish settlers were to obey the king's laws and couldnt make their own. The Englsih was friendly to the Natives relied on the Native Americans for survival and trade. The Spanish saw them as killers and heatherns, which French had respect for he Natives. All the colonies tied into farming with economices. Spanish was a large trading economy. English was diverse economic actitives and obacco was a main soucre. The England, French, and Spanish may have different viwes but they all tie into govenment, relations with the Native Americans, and economy.

  9. n what ways did the English colonies develop differently from the Spanish and French colonies?
The English and French both had good relations with the native American's but the English relation's with them was way different. The English had absolutely no respect for the native Americans as the French had few colonies and the native American's didn’t pose a threat to them. Despite the lack of respect the English had to the native Americans when the came to settle with the English the native American's taught them how to trade and how to hunt in the forest then use the fur to make money from it. The French however didn’t like that the native American's were on top of the fur market so the French seeked to control the fur trade. But how would the French take over the fur trade they built a trading post along the St. Lawrence River.
